Apple iPad shipments projected to decline 14% by 2026
Morgan Stanley has lowered its production forecasts for Apple’s iPad lineup, predicting that annual shipments for 2026 could fall by approximately 14% to 46.8 million units. The downward revision for the third and fourth quarters of this year is attributed to demand being pulled forward into the first half of the year and price increases affecting the entry-level iPad models.
Reports suggest that the next generation of the standard iPad may not arrive until early 2027. Meanwhile, Apple is expected to refresh its higher-end models, with the iPad Air potentially adopting OLED displays and the iPad Pro receiving improved cooling technology via vapor chambers to enhance performance during intensive tasks.
