Turkey's iPhone 17 Pro price more than double US price as global price gaps widen
A study of 41 markets found the 256 GB iPhone 17 Pro listed at €2,222 in Turkey – more than twice the United States price of €1,012 (≈ $1,181). Experts attribute the gap to Turkey’s special consumption tax and high VAT, as well as an additional €1,006 IMEI‑registration fee for foreign devices.
Japan is the only market where the iPhone 17 Pro is cheaper than in the United States, priced at €961. In Europe, Switzerland is the cheapest country at €1,187, followed by the United Kingdom (€1,265) and Germany (€1,293). Brazil’s price for the same model translates to about €1,937, making it the world’s second‑most expensive after Turkey.
