Apple iPhone 17 Pro launches with 2 nm A19 Pro chip and 48 MP triple camera

Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro introduces the industry‑first 2 nm A19 Pro processor, paired with 12 GB of RAM and built‑in Wi‑Fi 7, delivering noticeable gains in multitasking, AI workloads and energy efficiency compared with the preceding iPhone 16 line.

The handset features a triple‑camera system where all three lenses are 48 MP sensors, a 6.3‑inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120 Hz ProMotion, and a titanium frame with upgraded Ceramic Shield 2 protection. Battery charging is supported at up to 40 W via USB‑C and 25 W with MagSafe; however, a 100 W charger does not force 100 W into the phone – the device negotiates the appropriate power level, and the quality of the USB‑C cable also influences charging speed.

Pricing starts at $1,099 in the United States and about 5,500 RON in Romania. Apple also promotes a buy‑back program that offers up to 150 RON credit for eligible older iPhone models.
