Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max color leak and Daniel Idle's live terrarium case for iPhone 16 Pro Max

Designer Daniel Idle has built a prototype called the Terrarium Phone Case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The transparent resin cover contains a sealed micro‑ecosystem with moss, small foliage and a closed‑loop humidity system that sustains the plants without manual watering. The case is engineered to protect the phone while keeping ports and cameras accessible, and it demonstrates a bio‑filic approach to mobile accessories.

Separate leaks show Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max in a new dark‑cherry color, alongside black, light‑blue and the returning silver finish. Renderings captured by tech creator Jon Rettinger display the colors under natural light. Reports also suggest the device will feature 12 GB of RAM, a variable‑aperture main camera, the A20 processor and iOS 27 with enhanced AI capabilities. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro Max at its September 2026 event, while standard iPhone 18 models may be delayed to spring 2027.
