Apple iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders show mixed global demand

The pre-order phase for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max has seen varied global responses. In Taiwan, carriers reported that iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders sold out within two minutes. Conversely, in the United States, initial pre-order data suggested a potentially slower start than in previous years, with many configurations remaining available for standard delivery rather than facing immediate delays.

In India, Apple’s online store experienced a brief outage during the pre-order rush, an occurrence often linked to the company updating systems for major product launches. The devices, which feature the new A20 Pro chipset, are scheduled for general sale on September 18.

In the US market, T-Mobile has introduced promotional offers, including deals to obtain the iPhone 18 Pro for free with specific service plans or trade-ins, and discounts of up to $1,200 on the Pro Max model. The new lineup includes price increases of approximately $100 compared to previous generations.
