Apple iPhone 18 Pro rumors dim as Intel chip claim debunked and Tata hack leaks details

A recent report dismissed the claim that Intel would produce an Apple A20 chip for the upcoming iPhone 18, stating that no evidence was found in leaked Apple documents from Tata Electronics in India. The source Jukan judged the original leak unreliable and said the Intel‑Apple partnership, if any, is likely to concern later‑generation chips rather than the iPhone 18.

Separately, Reuters disclosed that Apple’s largest Indian manufacturing partner, Tata Electronics, was breached by the ransomware group “World Leaks.” The intrusion exposed about 200 GB of files, including test photos, engineering drawings, chip layouts, battery and camera specifications, and supplier pricing for the unreleased iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The data indicates Apple’s production shift toward India, a move the Indian government hopes will raise the country’s iPhone share to roughly 26 %. Apple has opened a global investigation, while Tata is working with a forensic consultancy.
