Apple iPhone 18 Pro specs exposed in Tata Electronics cyberattack

A ransomware attack on Tata Electronics, an Indian subsidiary of the Tata Group that manufactures Apple devices, led to the leakage of more than 200,000 files—over 630 GB—onto the dark web. The stolen data includes detailed design documents, photographs, schematics and component lists for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, as well as information on earlier iPhone models and other Apple suppliers such as TSMC and Qualcomm. Reuters reported that the files contain internal watermark tags and confidential usage names, confirming their authenticity. The attack was carried out by the extortion group World Leaks, which uses ransomware to encrypt victim systems and threatens to publish stolen data unless a ransom is paid. The breach highlights vulnerabilities in Apple’s supply chain and provides unprecedented insight into the next generation iPhone before its official launch.
