Apple and Samsung leak details for upcoming iPhone 18 and Galaxy S27 series
Leaks regarding upcoming smartphone releases from Apple and Samsung suggest significant hardware shifts. For Apple, reports indicate the standard iPhone 18 may launch in the first half of 2027, potentially featuring an A20 chip built on a 2nm process, a 120Hz OLED display, and a larger battery. The lineup may also include the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2. While the iPhone 18 Pro models have already seen minor price adjustments in some markets, the standard model is rumored to see a price increase due to advanced components.
Samsung is also preparing for its Galaxy S27 series launch. Leaks suggest a departure from previous practices, with the series potentially utilizing three different chipsets: the Exynos 2700 for European models, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 for the S27 Pro, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 for the S27 Ultra. Physical mockups of the S27 Ultra indicate a redesigned camera island and dimensions similar to its predecessor.
