Apple lifts trade‑in estimates across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch
Apple updated its U.S. trade‑in valuation table, raising the estimated resale value for most iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch models. The iPhone 16 Pro Max now fetches up to $720 (up from $695) and the iPhone 16 Pro $630 (up from $560). Mid‑range devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro Max and older models also saw increases of 5‑12 %. All current iPad models gained value, with the iPad Pro moving to $720. Mac products received the largest percentage jumps, notably the Mac Studio rising from $1,045 to $1,305 and the MacBook Pro from $690 to $855. Apple Watch Series 10 now tops out at $165. The update also added several Android phones – Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Google Pixel 9 series and OnePlus 13 models – to the trade‑in list, while some existing Android estimates fell slightly.
Separately, analysts predict Apple may raise prices for upcoming devices. Forecasts suggest the iPhone 18 Pro could start at $1,299‑$1,399, reflecting higher component costs. Leaks for the 2027 iPhone 20 anniversary models indicate larger displays – a 6.4‑inch screen for the iPhone 20 Pro and a 7‑inch panel for the iPhone 20 Pro Max – and a new “quad‑curved” bezel‑less design.
These developments signal broader pricing adjustments across Apple’s product line and hint at design changes for future flagship smartphones.
