Apple iPhone Air resale value drops significantly in Vietnam

One year after its release, the iPhone Air 256GB has seen a sharp decline in value on the Vietnamese second-hand market. Originally launched in September 2025 at 31.99 million VND—7 million VND more than the iPhone 17—the device has now lost nearly 40% of its value.

As of October 2026, used iPhone Air 256GB models are priced between 18.9 and 20.1 million VND. This places them below the resale price of the iPhone 17 256GB, which ranges from 19.9 to 23.6 million VND. While the iPhone 17 has maintained its value with a depreciation rate of only 6% to 20%, the iPhone Air's price drop is roughly double that of its counterpart.

Retailers in Vietnam are also offering significant discounts on new iPhone Air units. Despite Apple increasing listed prices for several older models following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro in September 2026, dealers continue to lower prices for the iPhone Air to approximately 23.19 million VND.
