Apple iPhone Duo game compatibility focuses on indie developers

Apple has curated a collection of 20 standout games for the iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable device. The selection, chosen by App Store editors, is currently dominated by independent studios and individual developers rather than major mobile publishers.

Among the featured titles are several new releases specifically designed for the device's folding capabilities, such as Battlefleet Duo, FleetFold, and Marbles Unhinged: Folding Maze. Other notable indie titles include Balatro, Planet of Lana, and Blek. Only three major publishers—Gameloft, Miniclip, and Rovio—are represented in the initial list, alongside three Apple Arcade titles.

Playdigious has confirmed that several of its high-profile mobile ports, including Subnautica, Don't Starve Together: Pocket Edition, and Evoland 2, will be compatible with the iPhone Duo. These games will feature optimized interfaces specifically designed for the device’s dual-screen layout. While major industry players like Hoyoverse have demonstrated titles on the device, the current landscape suggests many larger publishers are still evaluating the market for the $2,000 foldable phone.
