Apple iPhone Passcode Reset and SOS Mode Guidance
Apple states that a forgotten iPhone passcode cannot be recovered; the only way to regain access is to erase the device, which deletes all data unless it is backed up to iCloud or a computer. The reset can be performed directly from the lock screen, remotely via the Find My service, or through recovery mode using a computer. After erasing, data can be restored from any existing backup.
The iPhone SOS indicator does not always signal a total network failure. Users can still place emergency calls through alternative cellular networks or via satellite on supported models. Troubleshooting steps include toggling airplane mode, restarting the device, updating iOS, checking SIM/eSIM status, and installing carrier settings updates.
