Apple iPhone prices drop in Indonesia as iPhone 18 screen specs leak

In July 2026, Indonesian retailers adjusted Apple iPhone prices. The iPhone 16e saw the steepest decline, with the 128 GB model falling from IDR 11.749 million to IDR 8.999 million and the 512 GB variant dropping IDR 4.75 million. Several older models also fell, such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max (IDR 21.5 M to IDR 20.5 M) and the iPhone 16 Plus (IDR 17.25 M to IDR 16.5 M). Conversely, premium devices rose: the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256 GB increased from IDR 25.749 M to IDR 26.249 M, with higher‑capacity versions adding up to IDR 1 M. These adjustments reflect Apple’s stock strategy and shifting consumer demand.

Separately, a leak reported by Indonesian outlet Antara detailed the screens of the forthcoming iPhone 18 series slated for 2026‑2027 launches. The iPhone Air 2 is said to feature a 6.55‑inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The standard iPhone 18 will use a 6.3‑inch LTPO OLED panel with the same resolution and refresh rate, while the more affordable iPhone 18e is expected to have a 6.12‑inch LTPS OLED screen at 1.5K resolution but only 60 Hz. Apple plans to release its premium iPhone 18 Pro models in September 2026, with the standard and 18e versions arriving in early 2027.
