Apple iPhone Ultra foldable phone moves into production for September launch

Apple’s long‑awaited foldable iPhone Ultra has cleared key technical hurdles and entered test‑production. Suppliers Shinjuxing in Taiwan and Amphenol in the United States have resolved hinge‑module durability issues, allowing the device to move toward serial manufacturing ahead of the scheduled September unveiling.

At the same time, Apple has begun sourcing its OLED display panels from Samsung Display’s Vietnam plant. Samsung is producing the next‑generation M16 panels, featuring higher brightness, improved colour accuracy and CoE technology, with an initial order of three million units to meet the September launch timeline.
