Apple launches fourth public beta of iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6 and macOS Tahoe 26.6

Apple released the fourth public beta of its 26.6 series of operating systems—including iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.6, watchOS 26.6 and tvOS 26.6—one day after the same builds were seeded to developers. The betas are available through the Apple Beta Software Program; users enroll and download the updates via Settings → General → Software Update.

The updates contain no major new features, focusing mainly on bug fixes and security patches. Two notable additions observed in the iOS 26.6 beta are a warning that appears when a user reaches a very high limit of blocked contacts, and a prototype anti‑theft feature that would lock an iPhone if it is ripped from the owner’s hand. Apple has not confirmed that the anti‑theft function will be included in the final release.

The fourth beta arrives as the company approaches the end of the 26 software cycle, with iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate slated for a September launch.
