Apple launches iOS 27 public beta with Siri AI and one‑tap suggestions

Apple has released the first public betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, allowing compatible devices to test new features ahead of the official launch. The updates introduce a revamped Siri AI that can hold natural conversations, access personal data, and perform actions across apps such as Photos, Safari, Notes and the Camera. New design elements include a “Liquid Glass” interface, AI‑enhanced photo editing, and performance improvements for older models.

A highlighted feature in the iOS 27 beta is one‑tap suggestions in the Messages app. The on‑device intelligence reads conversation context and offers buttons to create reminders, notes, calendar events, find photos or even start calls, streamlining routine tasks without extra prompts. The feature has been praised as a practical productivity boost.

Apple also published a compatibility list for Siri AI, covering iPhone 15‑17 series, iPad Pro (M1 and later), iPad Air, iPad mini, all Apple‑silicon Macs, Apple Watch Series 9 and later, and Vision Pro. iPadOS 27 adds desktop‑like UI changes such as an optional permanent menu bar, new gestures to invoke Siri AI, and deeper integration of the assistant into Spotlight search. European users may face initial restrictions due to regulatory considerations.
