Apple launches Mexican micro‑telenovela “Nido de Villanas” filmed on iPhone 17 Pro

Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” campaign expanded into a 14‑episode vertical micro‑telenovela titled Nido de Villanas. Produced with TBWA\Media Arts Lab LATAM and Televisa, the series was shot entirely on the iPhone 17 Pro, highlighting features such as Center Stage, 8× optical zoom, Action mode, slow‑motion video and 4K Dolby Vision.

The drama follows the wealthy Iturribiaga family’s inheritance battle and stars Mexican telenovela icons Itatí Cantoral and Gabriela Spanic alongside contemporary stars Ela Velden and Mariana Torres. Directed by Emmy‑nominated Salvador Espinosa with cinematography by Alexis Zabé, the show premiered on July 22 on Apple’s YouTube channel and ViX’s Micro section, accompanied by a digital‑first marketing rollout.
