Apple launches redesigned Siri powered by Apple Intelligence

Apple has released a redesigned version of Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence, which began rolling out in English beta on September 14, 2026. The updated assistant is integrated across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, moving beyond basic voice commands to offer personal context awareness and onscreen intelligence.

Siri AI can analyze information on a user’s screen, search through personal data such as emails, messages, and photos, and perform actions across various apps. For example, it can retrieve a recipe from an email and automatically add ingredients to a Reminders list. It is also capable of answering follow-up questions and maintaining conversational flow.

Despite these advancements, Apple faces increasing competition from specialized AI agents like Instinct. While the new Siri functions more like a chatbot capable of drafting emails and answering complex queries, newer competitors are positioning themselves as personal secretaries capable of executing complex tasks such as managing travel bookings, filling out online forms, and handling customer service disputes.
