Apple launches Switch to Safari campaign for iPhone users

Apple has launched a new campaign titled “Switch to Safari” to encourage iPhone users to transition from other web browsers, specifically targeting Chrome. The campaign, which includes a dedicated website and YouTube videos, highlights the advantages of using Safari within the Apple ecosystem.

Key performance claims include Safari being able to load frequently visited websites up to 35% faster and allowing for up to five additional hours of online video streaming on a Mac compared to Chrome per charge. Apple also introduced “Distraction Control,” a tool designed to hide distracting website elements like pop-ups.

Regarding privacy, Apple emphasizes that Safari blocks third-party cookies by default and utilizes Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) to limit cross-site tracking. In private browsing mode, the browser is also capable of blocking known trackers.
