Apple leads smartphone sales and inquiries in China and Taiwan

Recent market data from China and Taiwan highlights the dominant position of Apple in the premium smartphone sector, alongside strong competition from Chinese manufacturers.

In China, JD.com sales rankings for the period of October 12–19 show Apple sweeping the top three spots with the iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro. However, domestic brands maintain a significant presence, accounting for over 50% of the top ten list. The Xiaomi REDMI K100 Pro Max led domestic models in fourth place, bolstered by recent price reductions and subsidies. Other notable Chinese brands in the top ten include OnePlus, Honor, and REDMI.

In Taiwan, inquiry rankings for the week of October 10–16 show a similar trend where Apple occupies the top two positions, with the iPhone 18 Pro surpassing the iPhone 18 Pro Max for the first spot. Samsung follows in third with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, though the company maintains a broad presence in the top ten with four models, including the Galaxy A57 5G and Z Fold8. Xiaomi’s 17T Pro also remains in the top ten.
