Apple may delay launch of camera-equipped AirPods

Apple is reportedly delaying the launch of AirPods equipped with cameras. According to analyst Mark Gurman, these camera-enabled earbuds will not be part of the company’s upcoming September lineup.

While the autumn event is expected to feature the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra, the AirPods with optical sensors remain excluded. The delay is attributed to unresolved issues regarding the supply chain and software development, specifically concerning artificial intelligence and visual models required for object recognition.
