Apple Music adds lossless, Dolby Atmos as subscription prices rise

Apple Music, the streaming service from Cupertino, offers a catalog of more than 100 million songs and a 24/7 music video channel. The service now includes lossless audio and Dolby Atmos spatial sound at no extra cost and has refreshed Apple Music TV metadata along with enhanced discovery tools.

Subscription plans are $11.99 per month for an individual account and $19.99 for a family plan covering up to six users via iCloud Family Sharing. A $4.99 voice‑only tier was discontinued in November 2023. Apple Music remains compatible with iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, Android, Windows, Chrome OS, CarPlay, HomePod, Amazon Echo, Sonos and web browsers. The service is positioned alongside competitors such as Spotify, Tidal, LiveOne and Sirius XM Internet Radio.
