Apple Music brings Liquid Glass redesign to Android in beta
Apple Music is introducing a significant redesign for its Android application through the version 7.0 beta, bringing the ‘Liquid Glass’ design language to the platform. This update aligns the Android versioning with iOS.
Key visual changes include a floating, partially translucent bottom navigation bar and a detached mini-player. The interface now features an edge-to-edge design, utilizing more screen space than previous versions. Other updates include modernized top menu bars where page titles and overflow menus share a single line, and artist pages that feature backgrounds themed after cover art.
Additional refinements include updated Library tab options, redesigned three-dot icons within circular containers, and a more organized Settings page. While the translucency is less pronounced than on iOS, the update aims to bring parity to the user experience across different mobile operating systems. The final version is expected to roll out to all users in the coming weeks.
