Apple opens Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston

Apple has opened a new Advanced Manufacturing Center in north Houston, Texas, as part of a broader initiative to strengthen domestic production in the United States. The facility, located within a Foxconn plant, is the company’s second-largest site for producing technology in the U.S.

The center has already commenced production and shipping of advanced AI servers. Additionally, a new assembly line dedicated to the Mac mini is scheduled to begin operations at the Houston site later this year. This expansion follows rising demand for the Mac mini, particularly among users running local AI models.

Beyond hardware production, the facility includes interactive labs and training programs designed for entrepreneurs, college students, and small-to-medium-sized businesses. These programs focus on advanced manufacturing principles, automation, and smart technology to encourage the adoption of modern industrial practices. Apple CEO Tim Cook and U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick have highlighted the facility as a key component of the company’s commitment to American manufacturing and workforce development.
