Apple, Oura, and Whoop launch menopause tracking features

Tech companies including Apple, Oura, and Whoop have introduced new features designed to help middle-aged women track and manage menopause symptoms. While these tools aim to provide insights into physiological changes, their capabilities and the practical utility of the data they provide vary significantly.

Apple's Health app recently launched a feature that sends notifications to women aged 40 and older when their menstrual cycles begin to vary, potentially signaling the onset of perimenopause. Oura has introduced a 22-question menopause survey within its application to provide a symptom score, while Whoop aims to predict when specific menopause symptoms might occur. Most of these technologies rely heavily on user-reported data regarding cycles and symptoms to function.
