Apple Pay expands contactless utility for ATMs and parking

Apple Pay continues to expand its utility through NFC technology, enabling cardless transactions in various sectors. Users can now withdraw cash from ATMs at major institutions such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, and Citibank by tapping an iPhone or Apple mobile device against the machine.

In France, the parking application PayByPhone has integrated Apple Pay, allowing drivers to pay for parking sessions using cards already stored in their Apple Wallet. This feature facilitates easier separation of professional and personal expenses. While the service was available in the United States and Canada since 2016, its availability in France depends on whether local operators and specific parking zones have activated the option.
