Apple plans two waves of hardware launches in October

Apple product launches M6 chip Smart Home ecosystem MacBook Ultra OLED iPad mini

Apple is reportedly preparing two distinct waves of hardware announcements throughout October. Following the recent launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series, the company is expected to focus on different sectors of its ecosystem in separate events.

The first wave, potentially scheduled for October 13, is expected to center on smart home technology and home entertainment. Anticipated products include a new central home hub designed to compete with Amazon and Google, an updated HomePod mini, and a new generation of the Apple TV 4K.

A second wave of announcements is rumored for the final week of October, focusing on the Mac lineup. This may include the debut of the M6 chip in the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the iMac. There are also rumors regarding a high-end MacBook Ultra featuring an OLED display. Additionally, an updated iPad mini with an OLED screen and an A20 Pro processor is expected to be part of these upcoming releases.
