Apple posts record $109 billion Q3 revenue, 29% profit rise FAST-MOVING
Apple Inc. reported its fiscal third‑quarter results, posting record revenue of $109.4 billion, a 16 % year‑on‑year increase. Diluted earnings per share rose 29 % to $2.02 and the company posted a net profit of $29.79 billion, while gross margin reached 50.1 %.
Revenue was driven by an all‑time high iPhone sale of $54.25 billion, up 21.7 %, and a 28.7 % jump in Mac sales to $10.35 billion, helped by strong demand for the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro. Apple said it achieved revenue records in every geographic segment, including India, the United States, Western Europe, China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Tim Cook, who delivered the earnings call, announced a transition to Executive Chairman and said John Ternus will become CEO on 1 September. Apple forecast revenue growth of 9 %–11 % for the current quarter, below analysts’ ~12 % expectations. The company also noted price increases for some Mac and iPad models, while no iPhone price rise has been announced yet. Apple is evaluating options to diversify its DRAM supplier base to reduce supply‑chain risk.
