Apple provides guidance on iPhone app management and health features
Apple advises iPhone users against the habit of frequently force-closing apps via the app switcher. While users often do this to save battery or increase speed, iOS is designed to freeze inactive apps in the background, consuming minimal energy and processing power. Apple notes that ‘when you unnecessarily force-quit an app, your device may actually become slower’ because reloading all data upon reopening takes more time.
Force-closing should be reserved for instances where an app is unresponsive or malfunctioning.
Additionally, iPhone users can utilize the Health app checklist to ensure all health-related features are properly configured. This checklist allows users to review settings for both the iPhone and Apple Watch, including critical functions like Fall Detection, Medical ID, and SOS Emergency calls.
