Apple increases Apple Music and iCloud+ subscription fees in multiple markets
Apple announced price increases for its subscription services across a dozen countries. In Turkey, Apple Music plans rose by up to 50 % and iCloud+ storage tiers saw hikes of 25‑38 %. Italy’s Apple Music monthly fee moved from €10.99 to €11.99 for individuals, with family and student plans also climbing. Spain’s family plan now costs €19.99, up €3, and the student plan rose to €6.99. France, Portugal, Mexico, the United States and several other European markets reported similar $1‑$3 lifts per tier. The company cited “rising licensing costs” for music as the primary driver, noting higher fees paid to record labels and publishers. iCloud+ prices were adjusted in Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, Egypt, New Zealand and the Philippines, generally around a 20 % increase, while Italy and some other regions were left unchanged. The coordinated hikes affect millions of existing and new subscribers worldwide and mark the first global Apple Music price revision since 2022.
