Apple raises iPad Pro prices but offers $300 discount, launches $549 MacBook Neo

Apple increased the list price of the iPad Pro 13‑inch with M5 chip to $1,499. Amazon is currently selling the 256 GB model for $1,199, effectively a $300 discount that brings the price below the previous MSRP. The new iPad Pro features the M5 processor, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and a tandem‑OLED display that promises higher brightness and reduced burn‑in.

The price hikes affect iPads, Macs and Vision Pro devices worldwide, a move Apple attributes to rising component costs and tariffs, especially shortages of DRAM and NAND flash used in AI hardware. In Germany, prices for the M5‑based MacBook Air and the 14‑inch MacBook Pro have risen by several hundred euros. Concurrently, Apple introduced the MacBook Neo, an entry‑level notebook priced at €549 ( €459 with a student discount). It is powered by the A18 Pro chip, offers a 13‑inch display, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD, targeting students and professionals seeking a low‑cost option.
