Apple reduces price of Polishing Cloth by over 50 percent

Apple has introduced a second-generation Polishing Cloth, significantly reducing the price of the accessory. In the United States, the price has dropped from $19 to $9, while in Taiwan, the cost has decreased from 590 TWD to 290 TWD.

The new cloth maintains a similar square design and is made from a soft, non-abrasive material. It is marketed as being safe for use on all Apple displays, including those with specialized nano-texture glass. The updated product listing includes an expanded compatibility list covering various iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch models.

While the price has been slashed by over 50 percent, the product remains a branded microfiber cloth. Previous teardowns by iFixit of the original version noted that the cloth consisted of two layers of fabric sewn together.
