Apple releases iOS 26.6 beta 2 with anti‑theft and contact‑block alerts

Apple made the iOS 26.6 beta 2 developer build available on 15 June 2026. The update introduces two security‑focused features: an anti‑theft function that automatically locks the iPhone when a sudden removal suggests a theft, and a warning that appears when a user attempts to block more contacts than the system allows, requiring confirmation before proceeding.

The beta is part of a broader 26.6 series that also includes developer releases for macOS, iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS. It serves as a bridge to the next major release, iOS 27, which Apple plans to ship to the public in September 2026.
