Apple releases iOS 27 beta 3 with Siri voice‑customisation and UI refinements
Apple has rolled out iOS 27 Developer Beta 3 (build 24A5380h) on 6 July 2026 for registered developers. The update adds a Siri AI voice‑customisation feature that lets users adjust the assistant’s pace and expressivity via sliders, a capability limited to devices with at least 12 GB RAM such as iPhone 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max and 17 Air.
The beta also refines Apple’s new Liquid Glass design, softening icon reflections and adding an intensity slider. Safari gains a “Notify Me” tool that watches pages for changes, while the Control Center now shows cellular signal strength and network type even when Wi‑Fi is active. The Reminders app icon is redesigned with hollow coloured circles, and lock‑screen animations are polished. Background indexing is renamed “Optimising Search and Siri” with a visible progress bar.
watchOS 27 beta 3 introduces the same Siri AI to the Apple Watch, and macOS 27 receives AI‑driven upgrades for Notes, Freeform and Weather. A new wallpaper depth effect creates a multi‑layer animation when pulling down the notification centre. Public beta testing is expected in mid‑July, with the final public release slated for September 2026 alongside the next iPhone lineup.
