Apple releases iOS 27.0.1 and macOS 27 with new diagnostic features

Apple has introduced updates across its operating systems, including iOS 27.0.1, iPadOS, and macOS 27, focusing on system optimizations and workflow improvements. The iOS 27.0.1 update prioritizes practical adjustments such as automated switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data, tools for replacing weak passwords, and enhanced readability for Liquid Glass. Users can also save video frames directly as photos on iPhone and iPad via the Photos app menu.

For enterprise environments, macOS 27 introduces a new remote diagnostic log collection feature. This allows IT departments to retrieve diagnostic logs from managed Macs remotely and transfer them directly to Apple Support. This process is triggered via specific management commands—MitTriggerEnhancedLogCollection and CancelEnhancedLogCollection—following the issuance of a token from AppleCare. This update aims to reduce the need for manual user intervention and accelerate troubleshooting for mobile and hybrid workers.
