Apple releases iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 Release Candidates
Apple has released the Release Candidate (RC) versions of iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 to developers. This update follows the fourth beta and is expected to be the basis for the public release, which is anticipated for late October.
Notably, the redesigned Health app, which was previously being tested in beta versions, has been removed from this RC. Apple intends to release the updated Health app, featuring AI-powered insights and longevity metrics, at a later date.
Other key updates include the expansion of Siri AI to support five new languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. However, these new AI features remain subject to regional restrictions within the European Union. Additionally, the Apple TV app will now support user profiles, and the Apple Music app will receive a redesigned icon.
