Apple launches macOS 27 Golden Gate public beta for Apple Silicon Macs

Apple has opened the first public beta of macOS 27 Golden Gate, released on July 13 2026. The beta is available to anyone enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program and can be installed on any Apple‑Silicon Mac; Intel‑based Macs are no longer supported. The update adds Siri AI integration, performance boosts, a refined Liquid Glass UI, faster Spotlight searches, new Safari extension tools, and enhanced photo‑editing features such as Extend and Clean Up.

Apple also released public betas for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27 and tvOS 27 at the same time. Users are advised to back up their data and, if possible, install the beta on a secondary device because pre‑release software may contain bugs, reduced battery life or compatibility issues. Siri AI is initially limited to English‑speaking, Apple‑Intelligence‑compatible devices and will roll out later to the EU and other languages.
