Apple releases macOS 27.2 and iOS 27.2 with expanded Siri AI support

Apple has released major software updates, including macOS 27.2 Golden Gate, iOS 27.2, and iPadOS 27.2. The primary focus of these updates is the expansion of Siri AI, which now supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish in addition to English. The enhanced assistant can retain context from previous conversations and draw information from personal data such as Messages, Calendar, and Photos to provide more accurate responses.

In macOS 27.2, users will see interface refinements to volume and brightness sliders, a new Apple Music icon, and improved Liquid Glass visual effects. The update also introduces gesture recognition tools and allows HomePods to be set as default speakers for Macs with Wi-Fi 6E. For iPhone Duo users, the update adds official Apple Pencil (USB-C) support and an ‘Edge Light’ feature for video calls.

Apple also announced that Siri AI will expand further by the end of 2026 to include traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese. While Siri AI is becoming more widely available, it remains unavailable in mainland China and certain features are subject to regional restrictions in the European Union.
