Apple releases watchOS 27 with dynamic app grid and Siri updates

Apple has released watchOS 27, introducing several functional changes to the Apple Watch user interface and feature set. A primary update is the introduction of a dynamic app grid. Instead of the previous honeycomb layout, the Digital Crown now opens a grid that prioritizes frequently used, recent, and suggested apps, with Siri positioned at the center.

Other notable features include a dedicated Siri app that allows for synced conversations across Apple devices via iCloud, and a new Siri-focused watch face. The update also introduces a new tap gesture, allowing users to open highlighted widgets in the Smart Stack by tapping the index finger and thumb together. Additionally, the Smart Stack now provides smarter suggestions based on user context.
