Apple rolls out Pride wallpapers and separate sound volumes in iOS updates

Apple's latest software releases add new visual and audio options for its devices. iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5 and watchOS 26.5 introduce a Pride Luminance wallpaper, a matching watch face and a Pride‑edition nylon band in eleven rainbow colors. The designs feature geometric patterns and dynamic colors that celebrate LGBTQ+ identities, and they can be selected through the Settings app on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

With iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, Apple adds a long‑awaited sound‑control enhancement. Users can now set separate volume levels for ringtones, alarms, timers and system notifications, preventing a single adjustment from affecting all alerts. The new settings are accessed under “Sounds & Haptics”, where options such as “Match ringtone volume” can be disabled for each category.
