Apple rolls out visionOS 27 and iOS 27 with new Siri AI features

Apple announced the release of visionOS 27 at its WWDC 2026 event, adding a suite of enhancements for the Vision Pro headset. New capabilities include Apple Intelligence‑powered Siri AI that can interpret visual context through “Visual Intelligence,” a three‑dimensional Siri orb widget, and expanded web environments that let developers launch immersive 360° spaces from Safari. Performance upgrades feature Wi‑Fi speeds up to three times faster, curved app windows for Safari, Freeform and Apple TV, a redesigned Control Center, extra‑small widgets, and glance‑to‑expand notifications. Users can preview and edit 3D models from a Mac directly in visionOS, and a new immersive environment based on Iceland’s Thórsmörk nature reserve was added.

A separate preview of iOS 27, macOS 27 and the other new operating systems was published on Apple’s French website three weeks after the conference. The French pages omit the “Siri AI” branding for iPhone, iPadOS and watchOS, noting the assistant will not be available in the European Union at launch, while it will be offered on macOS and visionOS. The public beta is expected in July, with final releases slated for September.
