Apple rumored to upgrade HomePod mini hardware
Apple is reportedly preparing to release an upgraded version of the HomePod mini, marking the first hardware update for the smart speaker since its 2020 debut. Rumors suggest the HomePod mini 2 will feature a significant processor upgrade, potentially moving from the S5 chip to an S10 or S11 chip, which would improve speed and wireless connectivity via faster Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The new model is also expected to launch in a variety of new colors.
In related consumer news, the Dutch provider Odido is highlighting its iPhone trade-in program. Customers can trade in older iPhone models for discounts on new purchases, such as the iPhone 17 or 18 series. Odido offers customers the choice between a direct discount on a new device or a cash payment, providing a 14-day window to transfer data before the old device must be handed in.
