Apple schedules iOS 27 public beta for mid‑July with smart copy‑paste feature

Apple’s upcoming iOS 27 operating system is set to introduce an on‑keyboard “smart copy‑paste” function that automatically suggests appropriate paste options based on the source app, allowing users to insert links, images and text with a single tap.

The public beta of iOS 27 is expected around 14 July 2026, roughly a week after the third developer beta slated for 7‑8 July. The beta is intended for secondary iPhones and may be unstable, so Apple advises against installing it on primary devices. The full version of iOS 27 is planned for a September 2026 launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
