Apple schedules iOS 27 rollout and six new iPhone models through 2027

Apple announced that iOS 27 will be released in September 2026. The update will bring a visual overhaul for all iPhone models, but full AI features—including an advanced conversational Siri—will be limited to the iPhone 16 series. Due to the EU Digital Markets Act, Siri’s AI capabilities will not be available on European iPhones, and Apple confirmed on 8 June 2026 that the feature will not be restored for the foreseeable future.

Leaked information from a Chinese source suggests Apple will launch six new iPhone models in 2027. The first wave, expected by early 2027, will include the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Ultra. A second wave around September will add the iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and the iPhone Ultra 2, with the latter featuring a folding display under test. The mid‑range iPhone 18e is slated to retain a 60 Hz panel, while higher‑end models may adopt the Dynamic Island design. These launches aim to mark the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.
