Apple schedules iPhone 18 series launch for September 2026
Apple is set to unveil its iPhone 18 series on 8 September 2026, beginning with three premium models: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Ultra. The Ultra is billed as a thin (4.5 mm) foldable phone with a 5.49‑inch outer display, a 7.76‑inch inner display, the new A20 Pro chipset and 12 GB of RAM. The iPhone 18 Pro models will use 9 GB of RAM and start at US$1,399. The remaining lineup – iPhone 18, 18 Plus, 18e and iPhone Air 2 – is expected to appear in spring 2027.
A lower‑priced iPhone 18e is reported to keep a conventional 60 Hz panel, lacking Apple’s ProMotion adaptive‑refresh technology. The model will retain a standard display to keep costs down, but may fall behind competing Android handsets that already offer 120 Hz panels. It will still use a powerful processor and support Apple Intelligence features.
