Apple schedules September keynote with John Ternus, unveils iPhone Ultra and rolls out iOS 26.6 beta 3
Apple is set to hold its September keynote on September 8 or 9, marking the first event where Tim Cook will not be the lead presenter. Senior Vice President John Ternus will host the show and is expected to introduce a restructured iPhone lineup that includes the new iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The company will also showcase the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and discuss higher price points driven by inflationary component costs.
In parallel, Apple has released the third development‑beta (beta 3) for its upcoming operating‑system generation, covering iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS 26.6 Tahoe, watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6 and related Xcode tools. The beta builds are compatible with iPhone models from the iPhone 11 onward and iPad models released since late 2018. The updates provide incremental refinements ahead of the full OS roll‑out expected later in the year.
