Apple Season Starts Early in Evansville, Indiana and Owensboro, Kentucky

Apple picking season has begun ahead of schedule in the Evansville‑Owensboro region. Evansville Countryside Orchard, located at 16800 Old Petersburg Road, is already offering pre‑picked "Grandpa's Gold" apples. The orchard is open Monday‑Friday 9 a.m.–4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–1 p.m., and closed on Sundays.

Reid's Orchard, a fifth‑generation family farm at 4818 State Route 144 in Owensboro, Kentucky, also reports summer apples as early as July, with the peak harvest expected in September and October. Both orchards expect the apple supply to continue through the fall, alongside pumpkins and other seasonal produce.
