Apple secures $30 billion Broadcom chip supply deal through 2031
Apple and Broadcom have extended their long‑standing partnership until 2031 under a multiyear supply agreement valued at more than $30 billion. The deal covers custom ASIC silicon and advanced connectivity components such as radio‑frequency, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth chips, as well as components for Apple’s AI‑focused server infrastructure.
The agreement calls for the production of over 15 billion chips in the United States and includes a $1.5 billion expansion of Broadcom’s Fort Collins, Colorado fab. Apple said the chips are “essential” for device performance and highlighted support from the U.S. government as part of its American Manufacturing Program and a broader $600 billion U.S. investment plan. Broadcom, which derives roughly 20 % of its annual revenue from Apple, saw its shares rise about 4 % on the news, while Apple’s stock showed a modest move.
