Apple begins $250M settlement claims for iPhone AI lawsuit
Apple has begun the claims process for a $250 million class-action settlement regarding its marketing of Siri and Apple Intelligence features. The lawsuit alleged that the company misled consumers by promoting advanced AI capabilities that were not available at the time of purchase.
To be eligible for compensation, claimants must reside in the United States and have purchased an eligible device for personal or professional use (not for resale) between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible models include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models (including 16, 16e, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max).
While the presumptive payment is $25 per device, the final amount could increase to as much as $95 per device depending on the total number of valid claims submitted. The deadline to file a claim via the official settlement website is December 21, 2026. Apple has agreed to the settlement without admitting any liability or wrongdoing.
