Apple smart home products unavailable in EU due to regulatory issues

Apple has announced a new suite of smart home products, including the HomeView control center, a second-generation HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV 4K. However, these devices will not be available in the European Union, including Poland, due to regulatory challenges.

Apple stated that the HomeView device is unavailable in the EU because the Siri AI assistant is currently not available on iOS within the region. Because the HomeView relies heavily on AI-driven features—such as automatic user recognition and personalized interfaces—the hardware would be significantly limited without the assistant.

The company noted it is working constructively with the EU to find a solution. The updated Apple TV 4K features an A19 chip, offering improved CPU and GPU performance, and includes three far-field microphones for hands-free control.
